The app
- No account, no analytics, no tracking. peeq has no servers of its own and sends nothing about you or your Mac anywhere.
- What it fetches: album artwork (from Spotify and YouTube image servers) and website icons for browser tabs that are playing. Those requests go straight to those services.
- What it keeps on your Mac: today’s notifications and clipboard items, so they survive a restart, in
~/Library/Application Support/peeq/History(readable only by your user). They’re deleted the next day. Items that password managers mark as private are never recorded. - Diagnostics: during the beta peeq writes a log to
~/Library/Logs/peeq. It never contains message text, song names or clipboard contents, and it only leaves your Mac if you choose Report a Problem and send the file yourself. - Reply suggestions are made by Apple’s on-device model. Your messages are not sent anywhere.
- Permissions (Accessibility, Automation, Screen Recording, folders) are used only for the features described in this post.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics scripts, no third-party fonts or trackers. Fonts and images are served from peeq.space.
- Our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
